Hannah Yang Releases Children’s Book

Manitoba Possible Ambassador, Hannah Yang, publishes her first book, The Magical Runner.

Hannah is sitting in a rocking chair in a school classroom. She is smiling and her book is being played on a screen behind her.

Through the support of the Shine Foundation, a non-profit organization empowering youth with disabilities, she brought the fantasy tale to life. The book, which originally began as a school project two years ago, draws inspiration from her own experiences growing up with a disability.

The Magical Runner follows an eight-year-old Hannah as she takes part in a race filled with both real and fantastical challenges, including unexpected visits from a angry dragon and helpful fairy. With the support of her loved ones, she is able to face the challenges of the extraordinary race.

Hannah is busy sharing her story to students at schools across Winnipeg and recently launched the book’s sales at a packed SSCY Centre.
