Manitoba Possible Celebrates Pride

Pride is more than a celebration; it's a statement. Approximately one in four 2SLGBTQ+ individuslas identifies as having a disability, yet they are often left out of pride events and discussions about queerness. We took part in Pride celebrations in Winnipeg and Dauphin, reaffirming our commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible society for all.

Our team partnered with Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba to build an accessible float inspired by New York’s underground disco era and donned custom-designed t-shirts by local artist Charis Lisakowski.

Celebrating intersectionality isn't just about recognizing differences; it's about actively working towards inclusivity and equality. By acknowledging the specific challenges faced by 2SLGBTQ+ individuals with disabilities, we can create more inclusive and events, organizations, and spaces accessible to all.
